The service
ifcfiles.com provides a free, browser-based IFC viewer and related tools (conversion, data extraction). All model processing happens locally in your browser; we do not receive your files. The service is offered free of charge, supported by advertising, with optional paid features that will have their own terms when offered.
Acceptable use
- Use the tools for any lawful purpose, commercial work included.
- Don't attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at abusive rates, or misrepresent it as your own.
- You are responsible for having the right to open and process the models you use with the tools — they are your files, processed on your machine.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We work hard on correctness, but we do not guarantee that viewers render every model perfectly, that conversions preserve every property, or that the service is available at all times. Verify any output before relying on it professionally — quantities, data exports and converted geometry should be checked against the source model as your project's QA process requires. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the service.
Intellectual property
Your models remain yours — we never receive them, and we claim no rights over them or over any file the tools produce from them. The site's content, design and code are ours or used under license; the underlying open-source IFC libraries belong to their respective authors.
Changes
